About L.O.V.E. Premier Catering & Events
Meet Chef Shirrell Edey
Chef Shirrell Edey, also known as Chef Shi “She”, is a native Californian who has been cooking alongside her beloved mother since she could reach the stove! She has a natural adoration for culinary arts and for the care and concern of the elderly and special needs communities.
While working in a successful career as a “C” level Executive Assistant, Office Manager and IT Coordinator for 20+ years, she has earned her Bachelor of Science in Administration in 2008 and her MBA in 2009. However, her desire to live her “best life” with purpose drew her away from her lucrative career in corporate America back to her true passion - cooking.
Her culinary journey began after graduating from the Master Chef Program at Escoffier School of Culinary Arts in 2019. After graduating from culinary school, she utilized her dual degrees and started L.O.V.E. (Living Our Vision Everyday) Premier Catering & Events
Her beloved mother, best friend and greatest supporter was diagnosed with heart disease in 2017 and her father with Multiple Myeloma, further fueling her desire to care for the elderly and dually diagnosed communities.
It’s a fact that healthy eating habits can improve quality of life in seniors. As a chef, Shirrell wanted to do so through providing nutritious, well-balanced, fully customizable and affordable meal prep. The perfect catalyst to combining her love for food and caregiving is Chefs for Seniors~LA South Bay where she is the local owner and Executive Chef.
The impact on the senior community has not only changed their lives but hers as well. Through the loss of her mother to COVID in 2022, she now understands she must keep fighting the good fight and that her purpose in life is sew into those who paved the way by providing this essential service to those in need
